on him is not condemned, but he that believes
not is condemned already because he has not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son
of God. This is the condemnation: light came

into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light because their deeds are evil.

8 For this cause, the gospel was preached to
those who are dead, that they might be judged
according to men in the flesh but live according
to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is

at hand: be sober and watch unto prayer. And
above all things have fervent charity among
you: for love shall cover a multitude of sins. 9
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
forbearing one another, and forgiving one
another, if any man has a quarrel against any:
even as Christ forgave you, do the same.

And above all, these things put on love,
which is the bond of perfectness. And let the
peace of God rule in your hearts, to which

also you are called in one body; and
