Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions,
heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness,
rioting, and such like: of the which I tell you
now, as I have also told you in time past, that

they which do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such, there is
no law. And they that belong to Christ have
crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory,
provoking one another, envying one another. 2
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is
not of the Father, but is of the world. And the
world is passing away, and the lust of it: but he
that does the will of God abides forever.

3 Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth. For you are dead, and your
