who commits fornication sins against his own
body. What? Don't you know that your body is
the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you,
which you have of God, and you are not your
own? For you are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body, and in your
spirit, which belongs to God. 6 Dearly beloved, I

beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain
from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.

7 Blessed is the man that endures temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown
of life, which the Lord has promised to them
that love him. Let no one say when he is
tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot

be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any
man: but every man is tempted, when he is
drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then,
when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and
sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

8 For this is the will of God, even your
sanctification that you should abstain from

fornication: that every one of you should know
how to possess his body in sanctification and
honor; not in the desires of lust, even as the
