8 Consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but
alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Do

not let sin rule in your mortal body, that
you should obey it in its lusts. Nor yield

members of your body as instruments of
unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves
to God, as those that are alive from the

dead, and your members as instruments of
righteousness to God. For sin shall not have

dominion over you: for you are not

under law, but under grace.

What then? Shall we sin, because we

are not under the law, but under grace?

God forbid. Don’t you know that to whom
you yield yourselves as servants to obey, you

are the servants of whom you obey;
whether it is sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness? But thank God, that
you were the servants of sin, but since

you have obeyed from the heart that

form of teaching that was delivered you.
