Son of David
1 And hearing the multitude pass by, a man
asked what it meant. And they told him, that

Jesus of Nazareth passes by. And he cried,
saying, Jesus, you Son of David, have mercy
on me. And they which went before rebuked
him, that he should hold his peace: but he

cried so much the more, you Son of

David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood,
and commanded him to be brought unto him:
and when he was come near, Jesus asked him,
Saying: What would you want that I shall do for
you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive
my sight. And Jesus said to him: Receive

your sight: your faith has saved you.

2 And Jesus said unto them: How do they say

that Christ is David's son? And David
himself says in the book of Psalms, The LORD
said unto my Lord; Sit on my right hand, till I
make your enemies your footstool. If David

therefore calls him Lord, how is he his son?
