Seed of Abraham
1 To Abraham and his seed were made the

promises. He did not say, to seeds, as of many;
but as of one; to your seed, which is
Christ. And I tell you, the covenant, that was

confirmed before of God in Christ, the law,
which was four hundred and thirty years

after, cannot cancel the promise,

that would make it of none effect. For if the
inheritance be of the law, it is no more

of promise: but God gave it to Abraham
by promise.

2 What then serves the law? It was added
because of transgressions, till the seed should

come to whom the promise was made; and it
was ordained by angels in the hand of a
mediator. There is one God, and one
mediator between God and men, the

man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a

ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
