sins. And we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom God

has given to them that obey him. 3 And
they said unto the woman: Now we believe, not
because of your saying: for we have heard him
ourselves, and know that this is indeed the
Christ, the Savior of the world.

4 So speak evil of no man, be not brawlers, but
gentle, show meekness unto all men. For we
ourselves also were sometimes foolish,
disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and
pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful,
and hating one another. But after that the

kindness and love of God our Savior
appeared toward man, not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but

according to his mercy he saved us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Spirit; which he shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being

justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
