shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver
from between his feet, until Shiloh come;

and to him shall the gathering of the
people be. Binding his foal unto the

vine, and his donkey colt unto the choice
vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his
clothes in the blood of grapes: his eyes shall be
red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

2 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O

daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King
comes unto you: he is just, and having
salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey,
and upon a colt the foal of a donkey.

3 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken by the prophet, saying: Tell
the daughter of Zion, Behold; your King comes
to you, meek, and sitting upon a donkey,

and a colt the foal of a donkey. And brought
the donkey, and the colt, and put on them

their clothes and they set him on it. And a very
great multitude spread their garments in the
