P. 21
Baptism
1 When they saw Jesus, they worshipped him,
yet some doubted. So Jesus came and spoke to
them, saying, all power is given to me in heaven
and in earth. Now go, teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching
them to observe all things that I have
commanded you: and, remember, I am with
you always, even to the end of the world.
2 As the body is one and has many members,
and all members of that one body, though
many are one body, so also is Christ. For by one
Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether Jews or Gentiles, bond or free; and
have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 3
Figuratively, baptism does also now save us
(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
but the answer of a good conscience
toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
who is gone into heaven, and is on the right
hand of God; angels and authorities and
powers being made subject to him.
