3 The lip of truth shall be established forever:
but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit
is in the heart of those who imagine evil, but to
the counselors of peace it is joy. No evil shall
happen to the just, but the wicked shall be
filled with mischief. Lying lips are an

abomination to the LORD: but they that
deal truly are his delight.

4 Be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
and put on the new nature, which is created
after God in righteousness and true holiness.
And put away lying, speak every man truth with
his neighbor: for we are members one of
another. 5 Do not lie to one another, seeing

that you have put off the old nature with its
deeds; and have put on the new nature, which
is renewed in knowledge after the image of him
that created him.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;

patient with each other, and forgiving one
another, if any man quarrel with anyone:
