even we ourselves groan within ourselves,
waiting for the adoption, to wit, the
redemption of our body.
7 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to
show the heirs of promise the immutability of
his counsel, he confirmed it by an oath: that by
two immutable things; one it is impossible
for God to lie; and two, that we should have
strong assurance, who have fled for
refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the
soul; both steadfast and secure.
8 Jesus said: all men should honor the Son, even
as they honor the Father. He that honors not
the Son honors not the Father who has sent
him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears
my word, and believeth on him that sent me,
has everlasting life, and shall not be
condemned; but has passed from death to life.
