Politics

1 First of all, make supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for
all men; for kings, and for all that are in
authority; that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and honesty; for
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God

our Savior; who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the
thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed
is the nation whose God is the LORD and

the people he has chosen for his inheritance. 3
If my people, called by my name, shall
humble themselves, pray, seek my face,

and turn from their wicked ways; then I
will hear from heaven, forgive their sin,

and will heal their land. 4 Because our
citizenship is in heaven; from where we

also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

5 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying:

All power is given unto me in heaven
