Love
1 He that loves not knows not God; for God is

love. In this was the love of God manifested
toward us, because God sent his only begotten
Son into the world, that we might live through
him. This is love, not that we loved God, but
that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the
offering for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved

us, we ought also to love one another.

2 Who or what shall separate us from

the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
For your sake we are killed all day long; we are
accounted as sheep for the slaughter. No, in

all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us.

3 May Christ dwell in your hearts by faith; that
you, being rooted and grounded in love, may
be able to comprehend with all saints what is
          the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
and to know the love of Christ, which passes
