nature, for he is a liar and the father of it. And
because I tell you the truth, you believe me not.

6 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers,
transforming themselves into the apostles of
Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself, is

transformed into an angel of light. Therefore,
it is no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness,
whose end shall be according to their works. 7
Whoever, then, will be a friend of the world is
the enemy of God.

Do you think that the scripture says in vain: The

spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy? Yet God
gives more grace. Therefore, he says God
resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
So submit yourselves, to God; resist the devil,
and he will flee from you. Draw close to God,
and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your
hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you
double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and
weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning,

and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves
in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up. 8
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under
