from the hour of temptation, which shall come
on the world, testing those who dwell on earth.

8 As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so
walk in him: rooted and built up in him, and
established in the faith, as you have been

taught, abounding with thanksgiving. Beware
lest anyone spoil you through philosophy and
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the way
of the world, and not after Christ. For in him
dwells the fullness of God. You are complete in
him, the head of all principality and power.

9 But there were false prophets among the

people, even as there shall be false teachers
among you, who secretly shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that
bought them, and bring swift destruction upon
themselves. 10 Prove all things; hold fast that
which is good; and abstain from all
appearances of evil. May the very God of peace

sanctify you in every way.
