Jesus told him: Have I been so long with you,
and yet you have not known me, Philip? He

that has seen me has seen the Father,
and how can you say then, Show us the Father?

2 Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed in
him: If you continue in my word, then you are
my disciples indeed; and you shall know the

truth, and the truth shall make you free. 3
When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak
of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that
shall he speak: and he will show you things to
come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of
mine and shall show it unto you. All things that
the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that
he shall take of mine and show it unto you. 4

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him
must worship him in spirit and in truth.

5 My sin is ever before me; Lord against you
only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your
sight: that you might be justified when you
speak, and be clear when you judge. You desire
truth in the inward parts: and in secret you
