P. 154

The same was in the beginning with God. He
made all things; nothing was made without
him… In him was life, and the life was the light

of men. He was in the world, and he made
the world, and the world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and his own received
him not. But as many as received him, to them
he gave power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name: which
were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the
flesh, nor the will of man, but of God. And the
Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

4 All scripture is given by inspiration of God and
is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction,
and instruction in righteousness: that the man
of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished
unto all good works. 5 So let the word of Christ
dwell in you richly in all wisdom; 6 for the

word of God is alive, and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
