Then Peter said unto them: Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins and you shall
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit; for the
promise is for you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord
our God shall call.

5 Jesus spoke this parable unto them, saying:
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if
he loses one of them, does not leave the
ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that
which is lost until he finds it? And when he
finds it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And when he comes home, he calls together his

friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me,
for I have found my lost sheep. I say unto you
that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one
sinner that repents, more than over ninety and
nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Or, what woman having ten pieces of silver, if
she loses one piece, does not light a candle,

and sweep the house, and seek diligently till
she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her
friends and her neighbors together, saying:
