Prince /Author of Life
1 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Jacob, the
God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus;
whom you delivered up, and denied him in the
presence of Pilate, when he was determined to

let him go. But you denied the Holy One and
the Just, and desired a murderer to be given
to you; and killed the Prince (Author) of

life, whom God has raised from the dead;
of whom we are witnesses.

2 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man,
but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who
raised him from the dead;) 3 for Christ also has
once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,

that he might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh, but raised by the Spirit.

4 Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay
down my life, that I might take it again; no man

takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself.
I have power to lay it down, and I have

power to take it again.
