Our Husband
1 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy:
for I have given you to one husband that

I may present you as a chaste virgin to
Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so

your minds would be corrupted from the

simplicity that is in Christ. For if he
that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we
have not preached, or if you receive another
spirit, which you have not received, or another

gospel, which you have not accepted, you
might well bear with him.

2 I marvel that you are so soon removed from
him that called you into the grace of Christ to

another gospel: which is not another; but
there are some that trouble you, and would

pervert the gospel of Christ. But though
we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
gospel unto you than that which we have

preached unto you, let him be accursed.
