Knowledge
1 The fear of the LORD is the beginning

of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and
instruction. 2 Before destruction, the heart of
man is proud, and before honor is humility. He
that answers a matter before he hears it; it is

foolish and shame to him. The spirit of a man
will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit
who can bear? The heart of the prudent
gets knowledge and the ear of the wise

seek knowledge.

3 Then understand the fear of the LORD,
and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD
gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes
knowledge and understanding. My people

are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

because you have rejected knowledge, I
will also reject you, that you shall be no

priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law
of your God, so I will also forget your children.
Therefore I will change their glory to shame.
