And it shall come to pass, that in the place
where it was said unto them: You are not my
people; there shall they be called the children
of the living God. Isaiah also cried concerning
Israel, though the number of the children of
Israel is as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall
be saved: For he will finish the work, and cut it

short in righteousness: because the Lord will
make a short work upon the earth.

3 I say, then, Has God cast away his people?
God forbid, for I also am an Israelite, of the
seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God
has not cast away his people, which he
foreknew. Know not what the scripture says of

Elias? How he made intercession to God against
Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed your
prophets and dug down your altars; and I am
left alone, and they seek my life. But what did
God answer him? I have reserved seven
thousand men who have not bowed the knee
to the image of Baal; so at this time, there is a
remnant according to the election of grace.

4 Who has believed our report? And to whom is
the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall
