Depression
1 The righteous cry out, and the LORD heard,
and delivered them out of all their troubles.
The LORD is close to them, who are of a broken
heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but
the LORD delivers him out of them all.
2 Yes, all of you should be subject to one
another and clothed with humility, for God
resists the proud and gives grace to the
humble. So, humble yourselves under
the mighty hand of God, that he may
exalt you in due time: casting all your
care upon him because he cares for you.
3 I stretch out my hands unto you, Lord: my
soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land. Hear me
quickly, O LORD: my spirit fails: hide not your
face from me, lest I be like them that go
down into the pit. Cause me to know your
loving-kindness in the morning; for in you I
trust: cause me to know the way I should
walk; for I lift up my soul to you.
