For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not
of the Father but the world.

13 Do not be conformed to this world: but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind

that you may prove the good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God. Through the grace
given to me, I say to every man among you,
don’t think of himself more highly than he
ought to think, but to think soberly, according
as God has dealt to every man the measure of
faith. For as we have many members in one
body, and all members have not the same
office: So we, being many, are one body in

Christ, and every one members one of another.

14 We know we are of God, and the entire
world lies in wickedness. And we know that
the Son of God has come and has given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is
true, and we are in him that is true, even in his
Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and

eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves
from idols. 15 You adulterers and adulteresses,
don't you know that the friendship of the world
