of men, after the rudiments of the world, and
not after Christ. For in him dwells all the
fullness of God in bodily form, and you are
complete in him, which is the head of all
principality and power. 18 Behold, a virgin shall
be with child and shall bring forth a son, and

they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is God with us.

19 But you, Bethlehem Ephrata, though you be
little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of
you he shall come forth to me one to be ruler in
Israel; whose goings forth have been from
everlasting. 20 Take heed unto yourselves, and
to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has

made you overseers, to feed the church of God,
which he has purchased with his own blood.

21 Jesus said to them: You are from beneath; I
am from above: you are of this world; I am not
of this world. That is why I said unto you, that
you shall die in your sins: if you believe not

that I Am, you shall die in your sins. 22 He that
has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to
the churches; to him that overcomes I will
