foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief corner

stone; in whom all the building fitly framed
together grows into a holy temple in the Lord:
in whom you also are built together for a
habitation of God through the Spirit.

2 I will praise you: for you have heard me, and
have become my salvation. The stone which
the builders refused is become the head stone
of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is
marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the
LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in
it. 3 For no other foundation can a man lay
than that is already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay,
stubble; every man's work shall be made
manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it
shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try
every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's
work abides which he has built thereon, he

shall receive a reward.
