Experiencing God
1 The other disciples said to Thomas: We have
seen the Lord. But he replied: Except I shall

see in his hands the print of the nails, and put
my finger into the print of the nails, and put my
hand into his side, I will not believe.

Eight days later his disciples were inside and
Thomas was with them: then came Jesus in, the
doors being shut, and he stood in their midst,

and said: Peace be unto you. Then he said
to Thomas: Reach here your finger, and look at
my hands; and reach here your hand, and put it
into my side: and be not faithless, but

believing. And Thomas answered and

said unto him, My Lord and my God!

Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have

seen me, you have believed: blessed are
they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the

presence of his disciples that are not written in
this book: but these are written, that you

might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
