of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill
the word of God; even the mystery which has
been hid from ages and from generations, but
now is made clear to his saints: to whom

God would make known what is the riches of
the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

4 If our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them
that are lost: in whom the god of this world has
blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest
the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,

who is the image of God, should shine on
them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ
Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for
Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light

to shine out of darkness, has shined in our
hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the
glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we

have this treasure in these earthen vessels
that the excellence of this power

may be of God, and not of us.
