bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you. 2 Even the
Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it sees him not, neither knows him: but

you know him; for he dwells with you, and
shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless:
I will come to you.

3 My little children, I write these things unto
you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we
have an advocate (paraklétos: Advocate,
Helper, Comforter, Counselor) with the Father,

which is Jesus Christ the righteous: And
he is the propitiation (offering) for our sins: and
not for ours only, but also for the sins of the
whole world. And by this we know that we
know him, if we keep his commandments. He

that says, I know him, and keeps not his
commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
4 A new commandment I give you: That you
love one another; as I have loved you; by this
shall all men know that you are my disciples, if

you have love for each other.
