Morning Star, Dayspring, Sun
1 And you, child, shall be called the prophet of
the Highest: for you shall go before the face of
the Lord to prepare his ways; to give
knowledge of salvation unto his people by the

remission of their sins, through the tender
mercy of our God; whereby the Dayspring
from on high has visited us, to give light
to them that sit in darkness and in the

shadow of death, to guide our feet into the
way of peace. And the child grew, and became

strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the
day of his showing to Israel.

2 For we have not followed cunningly devised
fables, when we made known unto you the

power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
He received from God the Father honor and

glory, when there came such a voice to him
from the excellent glory: This is my beloved
Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this

voice which came from heaven we heard, when
we were with him in the holy mount. We also
